Gairland has revealed a £2.5million expansion to its portfolio of commercial properties in Moray.
Gairland, which owns and lets a collection of business centres, retail spaces, and hospitality units in the region, unveiled the seven-figure investment following the purchase of Chanonry Court.
The multi-million pound deal will see Gairland offer 18 industrial units and warehouses for rent just off the A96 in Elgin. The purchase also includes Chanonry House, a serviced business centre which now acts as the company’s new headquarters.
The firm is offering new tenants of the industrial site a range of incentives to move to Chanonry Court, including heavily discounted meeting room hire and virtual office services.
According to Erin Beaton, Gairland’s Letting Manager, it’s all part of taking a new, more holistic approach to renting industrial property.
“We see the needs of small and medium sized businesses changing rapidly, especially now that new technologies are coming into play.
“Our priority is making sure we are offering all the services a growing business needs in order to thrive, and that we’re doing this on one, fantastic site. That is why we are delighted to offer these newly-built units with a range of discounted perks for tenants, like meeting room hire and virtual offices.
“This purchase represents a multi-million pound expansion for Gairland, which we intend to bolster over the coming years with a programme of continual investment and improvement to the site.”
The £2.5million investment in Elgin was welcomed by local business leaders. Sarah Medcraft, CEO of Moray Chamber of Commerce, commented:
