Over the last few
years we have been looking at ways to reduce our environmental
impact.
In Mid 2011 we
started producing Biodiesel, our fleet of vehicles now run on this fuel. The biodiesel is
produced from waste vegetable oil, if your restaurant is based in Moray
or Caithness or anywhere in-between give us a call, we may be interested
in buying your waste oil from you. Biodiesel is a "green" fuel, it
is non toxic, biodegradable and there are far less air pollutants and
greenhouse gases.
We maintain areas of
woodland in Scotland, from the dead & unhealthy trees we have been
producing firewood. This is used to heat our head office and is
available for sale. Scrap off cuts of wood from our worksites is also
used as kindling. To purchase bags of logs please give us a call.
Following the introduction of EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) a few years ago we have tried to
improve our properties, with insulation, more
efficient heating, energy efficient lighting & double glazing etc. This is something we are
continuing to work on.
We are keen to
implement renewable energy sources into some properties, and are
trialling a solar power setup later this year.
